Ugandan Joseph Kony a sadist

A critical look at the war in Northern Uganda confirms that it definately has no direction and merely a perpetuation of Joseph Kony's fantasy-filled mentality. When will he ever wake up and realise that he is killing and maiming his own people. While his aunt, Alice Lakwena, the initial engine behind the atrocious and near-genocidal war, is happily whiling away her time in Kenya's Nothern Rift Valley, why cant the policy makers get hold of her and put her to task over the war? Why cant they ask for her permanent intervention to stop her nephew from maiming and decapitating? Maybe its time someone asked her how the war can be stopped as she has the inside knowledge on Kony's operations and "beliefs".

International Press Institute 2005 Conference Kenya

The major world media bodies are especially being castigated for their biased reporting on Africa. The MC is Kenya's Minister for Information Mr. Raphael Tuju, himself a former journalist.

Many are asking why the negativity. Oh. President Kagame of Rwanda is currently giving his speech. He had given the opening speech. He says the image of Africa potrayed by the international media is unimpressive. He says in as much as they serve to highlight other vital events and processes, there seems to be a perpetual struggle to bring out the negatives of Africa against all odds.

International Press Institute Conference Kenya

The IPI Conference is now on in Kenya. The initial focus is mainly on the negative coverage of Africa in the international media. The President of Kenya, the Reuters Chief Correspondent-Southern Africa, the Managing Director of Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (currently giving a speech) among others have already given their sentiments on the same issue.

It seems many now realise Africa has just more than wars, famine, poverty etc The continent is cute!.

Freedom fighters and terrorists: what is the difference

What is really the difference between freedom fighters and terrorists. Many of those tagged 'terrorists' contend that they are not terrorists but freedom fighters. Do we then say that there is a dawn of new freedom fighters taking war to their enemies in a strategic development of anti-colonial campaigns or is it just a case of fundamentalism? Maybe someone can tell us.
